READ TIMER Introduction
The Read Timer was deisigned to help facilitate read and critique for the DFW Writers' Workshop (DFWWW).
Readers are alloted 20 minutes. Readers may read up to 15 minutes with the remainder of the time being used for critiques. Readers are not required to read for the whole 15 minutes alloted for their read. Readers tend to read one double spaced page every 1.5 minutes thus in 15 minutes they can expect to read 10 pages.
Readers should try to finish their read at the end of a chapter or other type of break. Trying to read as much as possible and ending in the middle of a chapter is not recommended and will not provide complete or very good critiques.
NOTE: The Read Timer locks the device screen to ON in order to facilitate access to the buttons when transitioning between critiques. The screen can be darkened using the power button and will still sound alarms at the end of the read, the critiques and at 20 minutes.

POLO TIME Features
- 20 minute countdown timer for total time
- 15 minute countdown read timer
- Critique countdown timer that can be set to 1 minute or 30 seconds
- Single bell sounds at the end of reads and critiques.
- Three bells are sounded at the end of the 20 minute session.
- Buttons for critiques, firsts are set to 1 minute, seconds are set to 30 seconds.
- Start / Pause / Resume button.
- Reset button, for when reads are short and you need to go on to the next reader.
